Beyond the Doctor's Office: Housing is Healthcare presentation covered how healthcare professionals find that the most important factor is housing when it comes to making progress on the health and well-being of underserved populations. In other words, if a person or family doesn’t have a secure and stable roof over their heads, it’s hard to improve almost anything in their lives. The session examined why that’s the case, as well as what concrete steps can be taken to achieve a paradigm shift to address this too-often unaddressed reality for the most at-risk and vulnerable people in our communities. Presenters included Adam Pertman, Eric Marcus, Jill Govan Buaman, Melissa Mowery, and Connie W. Mitchell.
