Welcome to the Group for NIC's New England Chapter!
Thank you for joining the New England Chapter Group, which grew out of a major event we held in Connecticut last November. It was titled “A Symposium in the NIC of Time: Moving Upstream to Improve Health and Well-Being.” Check out the agenda, murals and other highlights of the event!
In this group, you can learn about – and participate in! – the work we’re doing to shape NIC’s efforts in the region. Our partners in forming this new chapter include the New England States Consortium Systems Organization (NESCSO) and the New England Association of Child Welfare Commissioners and Directors, among others. We invite you to start or join a discussion about how NIC can progress organizationally, who its members should be and, most importantly, how it can best support individual states and collaborative, cross-border initiatives throughout New England.
Pointedly, we hope those include any project you’re planning or are already involved with. So please share your resources, leave comments, ask questions, make suggestions, engage in conversations and … you get the idea. We look forward to hearing from you!
Our goal for the symposium was for participants to leave with a stronger understanding that there’s a lot we can realistically accomplish – and that we’ve got a far better chance of doing it if we work together across silos and borders. … Based on what we saw and heard, mission accomplished!
