Regan Foust, PhD is the Director of Strategic Partnerships and a Research Scientist at the Children’s Data Network, a university-agency collaborative focused on the linkage of administrative data to inform children’s policies and programs. An experienced researcher, project manager, and data translator, she works closely with data, research, and funding partners to pursue and communicate the CDN’s transdisciplinary research agenda with an eye toward enhancing both academic scholarship and program/policy development. Formerly, as Senior Manager, Data and Research for the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health, she ensured the quality and usefulness of the content of kidsdata.org, a public use data site focused on child health and well-being; guided the development and implementation of initiatives to ensure that the Foundation’s data and information are used to improve the health and well-being of children in California; and called attention to key issues facing children in California by liberating informative data sets, advocating for open data, and stewarding strategic data and communication partnerships. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked to bridge the gap between research and practice in the social sciences at a research and development firm, and to evaluate and improve programs at a child welfare agency. Dr. Foust holds a doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Davis.

Hi Regan - welcome to the Hub. I look forward to reading your thoughts and recommendations regarding the topics posted in the groups, and any ideas you have for other groups and ways to improve the user experience of the Hub. It is still a work in progress. We are looking to make this a community tool to share what's working, promising practices and what's crashed and burned (so as not to repeat, too often). I hope you are well.
