All In: Data for Community Health is a national learning collaborative that includes the BUILD Health Challenge and other national and state-based programs that support the kinds of data sharing efforts described in this report. While this report specifically documents challenges and lessons from BUILD grantees, members of the All In learning network can confirm that these challenges and lessons are representative of larger themes that we see repeated across the country as communities come together to share data with each other.

People new to this work often assume that the biggest problems in data sharing are technical or legal, but the initial challenges are familiar to anyone who is trying to build a collaboration: what problem or opportunity is so big that we need to work with others?
