Big thanks from Stewards of Change Institute (SOCI) and NIC to the 500-plus attendees who made the national Community Information Exchange summit in San Diego so successful last week. Kudos and deep gratitude, too, to our partners in putting on the event: CIE 2-1-1 San Diego, San Diego Health Connect and Live Well San Diego. In addition to dozens of excellent keynotes, workshops and other presentations, a highlight was our “Interoperability Gallery,” which featured 30 vivid murals that stimulated conversation, furthered , learning and (we’re happy to report) captivated attendees. Take a look at these and other murals created at SOCI symposia, trainings and other events over the last 15 years, and stay tuned for more information about the summit in the days and weeks ahead.

The summit was terrific in many ways, including as an opportunity to expose attendees to the work (including murals) of SOCI and NIC. One way to extend the learning and opportunities from the event is to participate in the groups on the NIC Collaboration Hub. We invite all the summit attendees -- as well as non-attendees! -- to continue the conversation, share your knowledge and tell us about your projects by joining one of the Hub groups.
