Aaron Seib is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Innovation with NewWave, a full-service Information Technology (IT), Business Services, and Data Management company that specializes in merging government and industry through state-of-the-art technologies. Aaron also leads Social Architecture for FHIR-based Referral and Open Standards Networks (SAFFRON) Labs, an innovation business unit within NewWave Holdings dedicated to imagining and building the technical ecosystem for the delivery of person-centered care informed by the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH). Aaron has worked extensively on health information exchange (both the noun and the verb), most recently on Blue Button 2.0 and alternate payment models at CMS. His background includes provider-to-provider focused exchange at the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health IT on the Nationwide Health Information Network (now the eHealth Exchange), California’s Office of Health Information Integrity Statewide HIE initiatives, and consumer directed exchange as the CEO of the National Association for Trusted Exchange. Earlier in his career Aaron worked across the healthcare ecosystem with managed care organizations, disease management programs, and clinical research organizations including work at the Duke Clinical Research Organization, National Cancer Institute and Johns Hopkins.
