Ali Sutton is the Chief of the Housing, Homelessness and Civil Rights Branch at the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), where she manages over $250 million allocated to counties for homeless services for individuals and families. Sutton also serves on the Governor's Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council. Before joining CDSS, Sutton was a senior advisor to the acting assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. She earned a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of California, Berkeley and Bachelor degree from the University of Iowa.
