I serve as Executive Officer for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Region 9 which includes California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, Northern Marianas, American Samoa, the Marshall Islands, Palau and Micronesia. My office ensures that HHS maintains close contact with state, local, territorial, associated republics and tribal partners and addresses the needs of communities and individuals served through federal health programs and policies in Region 9. Our goal is to make federal health programs more effective and efficient in solving problems. I have a background in health policy, planning and evaluation with experience in the private and public sectors at the state, county and facility levels that spans over 20 years. I raised 2 young adults in San Francisco and have been married to their father for 34 years. Going outside in nature is necessary for my health and I also enjoy participating in making music and other creative processes.
