Christopher Zubiate, DHA, MSW brings wide experience and energy to policy and practice. Dr. Zubiate completed his doctorate at the Medical University of South Carolina. As a faith-driven executive and founder of successful social enterprises, he believes quality is achieved when a values-driven team embraces evidenced-based models. He has been singularly focused on bringing social value to California's most disenfranchised populations—individuals with persistent mental illness. By promoting community integration, he has created innovative treatment solutions for people who are typically homeless, incarcerated or institutionalized. He has founded community education, social and healthcare agencies, managed mental health treatment centers, and specialty hospital programs.
