Kari Guida is a Senior Health Informatician at the Office of Health Information Technology and e-Health at the Minnesota Department of Health. Ms. Guida leads and advises statewide projects and activities that advance the adoption and use of e-health, support the collection, use and sharing of health information for health equity, and improve the adoption and use of nationally accepted standards. In addition, she works with stakeholders to design, implement and evaluate informatics and e-health projects and strategies to effectively address priority health needs. She provides public health informatics consultation, technical assistance, and training and education to internal and external partners. Recent projects include the Minnesota e-Health Initiative 2030 Planning Project, Opioids and e-Health Project, the Minnesota e-Health Roadmap, and Minnesota e-Birth Records Project. Ms. Guida has a master’s degree in public health and a master’s degree in health informatics both from the University of Minnesota.
