Share with us a short bio of yourself.
Lindsey is public health professional who specializes in consortium building and stakeholder engagement, and has extensive experience working in a multidisciplinary capacity to strategically address the opioid epidemic.
Before Health Management Associates, Lindsey coordinated heroin and prescription opioid strategies at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment where she worked across the spectrum of prevention to address the opioid epidemic, focusing heavily on aligning strategies across prevention, treatment, harm reduction, and law enforcement agencies, on both state and local levels.
Lindsey spent nine months embedded within federal law enforcement to understand more about the trafficking and diversion of opioids, and enforcement approaches to address the growing epidemic. Lindsey enhanced complex relationships across the state and successfully coordinated and facilitated law enforcement, treatment, public health focus groups, and guided the development of a relationship building tool for organizations to cross-educate, create shared vision, work past differences, set common goals, and select shared measurements when collaborating to address opioids.
Lindsey holds Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the Colorado School of Public Health, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Oregon State University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) credentialed by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Incorporated.
