Maria D. Moen is the Senior Vice President, Innovation & External Affairs for Dallas, Texas-based ADVault, Inc., creators of MyDirectives® and MyDirectives MOBILE TM. Ms. Moen has over 25 years of healthcare, operations and technology leadership experience with a specific emphasis in the long term post-acute industry. Maria advocates for the voice of all consumers by helping give providers simple and meaningful real-time access to the healthcare goals, preferences and priorities of the people they treat. She has prior leadership roles at MatrixCare, Brookdale Senior Living, Consulate Health Care and HCR Manor Care among others where she harmonized technology and healthcare on behalf of both providers and patients. She is a published industry thought leader, public speaker, and has served on boards and industry workgroups such as HL7 Use Case Lead for the Advance Directive Interoperability w/FHIR project, CMS Innovation Grant Technical Lead, NASL’s Board of Directors and Vice Chair of their IT Committee, LTC S&I Framework, Chair of the HIMSS LTPAC Committee, HIMSS HIE & Interoperability Workgroup, AHIMA Longitudinal Coordination of Care Practice Council, AHCA IT Committee, and National eHealth Collaborative.
