Rebecca Noftsinger has more than 25 years of experience in health care delivery, management and research. She provides technical assistance to five AHRQ grantees working to implement medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD) in rural areas of five states. She served as Task Lead and co-author of a recently released AHRQ report, “Implementing MAT for OUD in Rural Primary Care: An Environmental Scan.” It includes a summary of peer reviewed and grey literature on MAT and addresses implementation challenges and strategies to overcome them. The Scan also provides links to an extensive roster of tools to aid in MAT implementation. She serves as an evaluation liaison and provides ongoing support SAMHSA’s Children’s Mental Health Initiative grantees, as they implement Systems of Care program expansion. She also has led a variety of behavioral health, healthcare, and military projects, including knowledge dissemination, technical support, and survey projects.
