Ron Clewer became the Chief Operating Officer of the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities in April of 2017 and the owner of Tipping Point Consultancy in 2018. He is responsible for operations of the National Association Operations Center in Milwaukee, WI and the Public Policy Center in Washington DC. Prior to joining the Alliance, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Rockford Housing Authority & Bridge Rockford Alliance, an Alliance member agency consortium providing affordable housing and innovative supportive services to more than 5,000 families annually. Ron has more than 20 years of leadership experience and over 17 years of multi-use real estate development and asset management experience. He views housing and community development work through a lens of equity and the potential to positively address and advance the social determinants of health. Ron has been instrumental in developing creative community-building initiatives in Illinois. He brings a vision and "can do" attitude to his work with a determination to merge the best practices for both private and public sectors. His passion lies in quality... quality design, services and quality environments. He has received awards for his leadership approach, pioneering community and neighborhood visions, affordable housing operations and planning and legislative advocacy.
