I am currently a doctoral student at Molloy College in Rockville Center, Long Island. I presently work as an Investigator with New York State; however, my passion lives with "at risk students" who are trying to succeed academically but due to barriers causing interruptions in their lives, they are unable to push through. I am interested in homeless college students and the challenges hindering their success to attain their degree. I have worked with New York City Dept of Homeless Services for many years and have realized that this population of students are hidden and often goes undetected. I want to bring awareness to U.S. institutions to recognize this problem in efforts to give these students the opportunity to achieve success. I enjoy reading and traveling.
