The National Overdose Prevention Leadership Summit (NOPLS) is an annual virtual event that highlights real solutions to the overdose crisis that bridge justice, health care, and public health sectors. NOPLS helps professionals from across the spectrum of overdose prevention, treatment, and justice to learn, share, and collaborate more effectively, which leads to reducing overdose deaths.
NOPLS convenes government, academic, private sector, and philanthropic organization leaders. Their collaboration is critical to the success of overdose prevention strategies by reducing duplication of effort, aligning work across organizations, and moving past the problems created when justice, health care, and public health sectors unknowingly create gaps.
Now in its third year, the National Overdose Prevention Leadership Summit is produced by the Public Health Institute and its nationally recognized programs, Dialogue4Health and the Center for Health Leadership and Practice, which runs the California Overdose Prevention Network (COPN) and the National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN). These Networks support multi-sector collaboration and community-driven, evidence-based initiatives for overdose prevention.
