Folks in healthcare are focused on the ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology) Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) version 2 draft document for discussion. Public comments are open until June 17. For folks not so much in this world it is worth a look as this may become the de facto national approach to health information exchange. May be worth a meeting to discuss and catch everyone up. Some links:

Sure, I am happy to speak about this. I have summary slides prepared from other presentations.
Noam - would you be willing to provide a brief overview of TEFCA to the group, potentially Friday or at one of the upcoming meetings? I think one of our tasks ought to be to share key legislation/policies that drive each domain e.g. Family First legislation for child welfare; TEFCA for health; Improving Inteorperability for ONC, etc.
Noam - I think that informing the social/human services domain folks about TEFCA ought to be one of the key educational efforts we undertake early on. There are some fundamental things like this that we all ought to be aware of as we widen our perspective across programs and domains. It would be great for others to weigh in on fundamental initiatives, legislation, policies, etc that are dominating and influencing your particular fields. Others?
