As state Medicaid programs look to treat more patients for the social determinants of health (SDOH), they are looking to retool their intervention efforts for a next generation, according to a new report from Manatt.
“By systematically tracking and analyzing SDOH data, states will be better prepared to evaluate the magnitude of social and economic issues confronting enrollees; assess how they affect health and utilization of medical care; and explore the extent to which interventions are proving effective in improving outcomes and reducing costs,”
