  • Lurking on the sun-set horizon is the matter of social cohesion, roughly described as the prevalence of trustworthy persons throughout a nation, at all levels.  It lurks currently at the sunset horizon as a result of its steady decline since WWII.  As a basis of fundamental healthcare reform, I suspect that we will need to operationalize any definition of social cohesion.  It might be helpful to assess the level of connectedness that exists within the NIC community for acknowledging the various components of a social cohesion definition.
