Agenda

New efforts such as the federal “My HealthEData” initiative, as well as Apple’s project to aggregate health information to its mobile devices using open standards, focus on solving interoperability and data liquidity issues across the healthcare ecosystem to advance person-centric, value-based care. In this NIC webinar/conversation, members of the CARIN Alliance will lead a discussion on the impact of these and other innovations on the healthcare industry, including the power of the consumer as an informed stakeholder. Our guest presenter will be Ryan Howells, a Principal at Leavitt Partners, which manages the CARIN Alliance. The conversation will be moderated by SOCI/NIC consultant, Adam Pertman

About CARIN Alliance

The CARIN Alliance is a non-partisan, multi-sector organization convened by David Blumenthal, David Brailer, Aneesh Chopra, and former HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt in 2016 to unite industry leaders in advancing consumer-directed health information exchange. CARIN’s vision is to rapidly advance the ability of consumers and their authorized caregivers to easily get, use and share their digital health information when, where and how they want to achieve their goals. Its members include individuals and organizations from across the healthcare ecosystem, including patients, caregivers, providers, hospitals, payers, EMR companies, and health IT application companies.
