Agenda

This Let’s Get Technical webinar/discussion will be the second of two deeper-dive discussions about Project Unify, which is our new proof-of-concept designed to advance interoperability between the Health and Human Services domains, each of which primarily uses a different standard (FHIR and NIEM, respectively). This session will build on the first deeper-dive discussion, which did examine the work of two of our partner projects – Interoperability Land™ and HSLynk™ – for enabling interoperability between these two currently separate standards. Specifically, this second session will focus on technical aspects of Project Unify such as person matching and authentication, through a review of system architecture approaches. The goal is to enable the Project Unify trust network by utilizing the capabilities of Interoperability Land, HSLynk and other partners on this proof-of-concept, thereby creating a path for interoperability between the Health (FHIR) and Human Services (NIEM) domains. The presenters will again feature Dave Walsh, who heads Project Unify; Eric Jahn, Chief Technology Officer of HSLynk and co-lead of Project Unify; Mary Kratz, Executive Vice President of Interoperability Institute; Pradeep Podila, Public Health Informatics Fellow of Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC); as well as others participating in this unique effort.
