Agenda
Data is helping us prove it’s possible to invest in population health in ways that are cost-effective, improve outcomes and engage communities as co-producers of their own outcomes. But it can be tough to make a compelling case for meaningful systems change (especially when one of our goals is equity) and, worse, attempts to increase support can backfire if we are not careful. In particular, our efforts can reinforce stereotypes and biases in ways that make it even more difficult to build support for our work. In this webinar, Dr. Tiffany Manuel will lead a conversation about the use of data to build public support for health equity in our programs, policies and investments – without the side effect of reinforcing stereotypes and biases.
About the Presenters
Tiffany Manuel, President & CEO, TheCaseMade
DrT (as she prefers to be called) is a dynamic speaker, best-selling author and the President and CEO of TheCaseMade, an organization dedicated to helping leaders powerfully and intentionally make the case for systems change. In her role at TheCaseMade, DrT works with hundreds of passionate social changemakers, innovators and adaptive leaders around the United States who are building better, stronger communities that are diverse, equitable and inclusive. By aligning their community stakeholders around the kind of deep systems changes that can improve population outcomes, these leaders are able to grow their impact, scale their programs, and harness the investments they need to improve their communities. She’s literally written the book on public will building – what she calls Strategic CaseMaking™ and her new book, Backfires, Backpacks and Bedtime Stories: The Urgency to Fix What is Ailing America is due out in April 2020. Let’s find out why DrT is considered the nation’s expert on public will building!
